About Me

Un placer. Mi nombre es Natalia, soy la lejana. I am a Guatemalan-born, nomadic poet, exploring the intersections of 'la lengua/language,' identidad, and cultura.

Graduated from University College Dublin's English, Drama & Film, I approach writing through a visual and performative lens, moving fluidly between tongues and the shifting spaces of memory and belonging. My work weaves together poetry, short fiction, and photo-poetry — translating both words and worlds, and tracing the quiet bridges that connect them.

Today, alongside my writing practice, I teach English to children and adults across Latin America, and have experience teaching creative writing workshops for children and young adults. This continues to shape how I think about language, learning, and human connection.
